All the answers to Frequently Asked Questions…

Want to know more about Bike Tour Sonoma? All your burning questions are answered below.

  • How many people can go on a tour?

We limit our tours to 8 guests. We feel like this number allows for an intimate experience for our guests and our partner wineries.

  • What should I wear?

Comfortable, weather appropriate clothes, close-toed shoes, hats, and sunscreen.

  • Should I bring my kids?

We love kids, but our tours and bikes are sized and geared for adults. It’s best to leave the kids at home when renting or touring with us.

  • Do you offer private tours?

Yes. Please email, call, or use the contact form on the contact us page and we can start planning your private tour today.

  • Do I need to be a cyclist?

No. The only requirement here is that you know how to ride a bike. Our e-bikes make it easy for anyone to bicycle in wine country. They are step-through frames which allow for greater accessibility. Also, they are pedal-assisted and have a throttle for when you need a little extra oomph to get up that hill.

  • Do I have to drink wine?

No. While we do visit wineries on our tours, if and how much you drink is completely up to you. Sometimes customers will split tastings, sit out a specific tasting, or skip all of them and enjoy the views.

  • How long does it take to get there from San Francisco?

About 70 minutes depending on traffic.

  • Why aren't the tasting fees included?

Wine tasting fees are not included for two reasons. Wine tasting is optional, while our tours are wine-focused and most people participate in the tastings. Tasting fees may be waived with minimum purchase (fee waiving policies/practices vary by winery). The best way to have your tasting fees included is to buy wine.

  • Where are your located?

Our bike tour starts in downtown Healdsburg, California. Don't want to start in Healdsburg? We have a sweet bike trailer and can meet you anywhere in Sonoma County.
