• Hey there, welcome to Bike Tour Sonoma! We’re all about having fun, staying safe, and making sure everyone has a fantastic time. So, let’s get rolling with some important guidelines. Let’s keep it fun and safe for everyone!

    Pre-Tour Preparation

Hydration and Snacks: Drink plenty of water and have a light snack before we start. It’s always good to start off energized!

Dress Appropriately: Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes for biking and walking. Check the weather, and dress for the day.

Physical Fitness: Biking is a fun but physical activity. Make sure you’re feeling up to it. If you’re unwell or unsure, let BTS know before we kick off.

    Safety During the Ride

Helmet Use: Helmets are a must! Keep them on at all times while biking. Safety first, style second!

Follow the Guide: Our tour guide is your best friend today. Follow their instructions.

Stay Together: We ride as a team! Keep in a single file or as instructed, and don’t wander off.

Signal and Communicate: Use hand signals and shout out any stops, turns, or hazards. We’re all in this together!

Obey Traffic Laws: Just like cars, we need to follow all traffic laws and signals.

Respect Private Property: Stick to designated paths and don’t venture onto private property.

Heads Up: We’ll be sharing the road with others—pedestrians, cyclists, cars, and even horses. Stay alert and aware of your surroundings.

    Alcohol Consumption

Optional Drinking: Drinking is completely optional. You can visit wineries, taste and spit, tour the wineries, or enjoy snacks without ingesting wine. We encourage responsible behavior.

Pacing: If you decide to drink, take it slow and steady. We’re visiting multiple wineries, so there’s no rush!

Stay Hydrated and Eat: Make sure to stay hydrated and eat throughout the tour. It helps keep you in top shape and can mitigate the effects of alcohol if you choose to drink.

Know Your Limits: If you get too tipsy, we’ll need to end your tour early. BTS will send a support vehicle to pick you up, and no refunds will be given. Safety is our top priority!

No Biking Under the Influence: It’s illegal to bike under the influence in California. Stay within safe limits to keep the wheels turning smoothly.

    Equipment Care

Damage: Don’t damage BTS bicycles or equipment. You will be financially responsible for any damages beyond flat tires and normal wear and tear.

Loss or Theft: Don’t lose BTS bicycles or equipment. You will be responsible for the full retail cost of replacing them.

    Post-Tour Safety

No Driving Under the Influence: At the end of the tour, you will finish back in town with the option to visit an additional winery. If you have consumed alcohol and feel impaired, do not drive. Arrange for alternative transportation to ensure safety.

    Emergency Protocol

In Case of Injury: Inform the tour guide immediately if you’re hurt. We have first aid kits ready.

Contact Information: Make sure you have the contact info of the tour guide and your fellow riders.

Remember, these rules are here to keep everyone safe and ensure a great time. Following these rules is crucial, and if anyone doesn’t, we might have to cut their tour short without a refund. Let’s make this an unforgettable day—ride safe, drink responsibly if you choose to, and have fun!

  • Cancellations made 72 hours prior to your tour's start time will receive a full refund minus credit card and booking fees we are charged. Cancellations made within 72 hours of your tour start time will not receive a refund.
